Monster O’ The Week!!!

Welcome to Monster O’ The Week, where every monday I choose a creature i find interesting.

It’s monday, which means it’s time for Monster O’ The Week!!! This week Frankenstein catches my interest! I decided to choose Frankenstein because for those of you who don’t know, it’s Mary Shelley’d 213th birthday. There are many types of Frankensteins, from the original, to the rocket shooting, smashing, punching ones in Castlevania. I prefer the original, the huge lumbering monster more than the new ones that fire rockets from their elbows etc.

  1. A great posting there Frank, and good to see Frankenstein getting a mention.

    Interesting fact #23
In the original book, Frankenstein is the name of the scientist rather than the monster which is only called ‘monster’. Later adaptations and film versions saw the name attached to the monster rather than the scientist and it is this usage which has been adopted in popular culture.

    Interesting fact #24
Many people think that is a bolt through the monster’s neck. It’s not, it’s actually a 2.5 inch ship welding rivet as used on early Steam Ships.
